Reserve Structure Area Authority
The Ministry of Environment and Urbanization has been authorized to determine the ‘Reserve Building Area’.
The boundaries of the "European Side Reserve Structure Area" have been determined.
It has been determined as “Istanbul Province, European Side, Reserve Building Area” within the scope of the Law on Transformation of Areas Under Disaster Risk No. 6306.
During the process, some changes were made, including the removal of military areas in the region, and the Reserve Building Area took its final form with the Ministry’s approval dated January 16, 2019.

Reserve Structure Area boundaries have been revised
The new settlement area of Istanbul, which was determined before, was re-determined with the decision of the Council of Ministers numbered 2014/6028, published in the Picture Newspaper on April 30. Along with the decision, the sketch and coordinates of the new area were also published.

The works on five separate routes for the ‘Canal Istanbul’ became clear, and it was announced that the route close to the 3rd airport was preferred. Accordingly, the project will start from Küçükçekmece and pass through Avcılar, Arnavutköy and Başakşehir. While the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization accepted the EIA application for the 45-kilometer canal, it was stated that the project will be presented to the public on 22 December.

“1/100.000 ölçekli Çevre Düzeni Planı” değişikliği Bakanlık tarafından (bir kez daha) revize edildi. Çevre ve Şehircilik Bakanlığı değişikliğe gitti. Yenişehir’de yer alması planlanan ‘teknoloji geliştirme alanı’ ile ‘fuar ve kongre alanı’ndan vazgeçilerek ilgili plan notları iptal edildi.

The Ministry of Environment and Urbanization made a change. The ‘technology development area’ and ‘fair and congress area’ planned to be located in Yenişehir were abandoned and the relevant plan attachments have been removed.
